  • Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Pemigatinib in Participants With Previously Treated Glioblastoma or Other Primary Central Nervous System Tumors Harboring Activating FGFR1-3 Alterations

    This is an open-label, monotherapy study of pemigatinib in participants with recurrent glioblastoma (GBM) or other recurrent gliomas, circumscribed astrocytic gliomas, and glioneuronal and neuronal tumors with an activating FGFR1-3 mutation or fusion/rearrangement. This study consists of 2 cohorts, Cohorts A, and B, and will enroll approximately 82 participants into each cohort. Participants will receive pemigatinib 13.5 mg QD on a 2-week on-therapy and 1-week off-therapy schedule as long as they are receiving benefit and have not met any criteria for study withdrawal.

  • Phase 3 Study of DCC-2618 vs Placebo in Advanced GIST Patients Who Have Been Treated With Prior Anticancer Therapies

    This is a 2-arm, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, international, multicenter study comparing the efficacy of ripretinib (DCC-2618) to placebo in patients who have received treatment with prior anticancer therapies. Prior anticancer therapies must include imatinib, sunitinib, and regorafenib (3 prior therapies). Approximately 120 patients were randomized in a 2:1 ratio to ripretinib 150 mg QD or placebo

  • Modulating Inhibitory Control Networks in Gambling Disorder With Theta Burst Stimulation

    In this project the investigators propose a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled design in which 40 patients with GD will receive active or sham cTBS to the pre-SMA for 2 weeks. The investigators will combine TMS, multimodal structural and functional MRI and behavioral measures in order to identify circuit-level mechanisms of action and therapeutic targets (connectivity changes that explain clinical improvement) and assess the efficacy of TMS in modulating inhibitory control and symptom severity in this population.

  • MyHeart Counts: Stanford Mobile Cardiovascular Health Study 3.0

    MyHeart Counts is a smartphone-based mobile cardiovascular health research study. It will use the mobile health capabilities of smartphones and wearables to assess daily activity measures of the general public and compare these to measures of cardiovascular health - risk factors and fitness. How people divide their time among exercise, sedentary behavior, and sleep all affect cardiovascular health, yet largely go unmeasured. These can now be measured with sensors in phones or wearable devices as we have shown on iOS. With the large number of smartphone users addressable with a HIPAA complaint iOS & Android platform, the investigators aim to collect activity and cardiovascular health data on many more subjects than in prior studies as well as provide much more quantitative data on type, duration, and intensity of daily activities. It also provides a platform to investigate methods to help participants increase heart-healthy activities. The study also includes a randomized controlled trial on physical activity. The overall goal is to develop an extensive source of data to help inform future cardiovascular health guidelines.

  • Pioglitazone in Patients With Mood Disorders

    The purpose of this study is to see how an insulin sensitizing medication, Pioglitazone, can cause changes in mood in some depressed patients. Study participants receive assessment of their cognitive and metabolic functioning.

    If they meet criteria, they will be asked to take either Pioglitazone or a placebo for a 90-day trial. Participants will undergo an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test to measure fasting insulin and glucose levels, as well as routine blood testing.

    The investigators hope to quantify the role of Pioglitazone in patients with mood disorders and compare the values to those previously obtained in a healthy age-matched control population. The investigators also hope to examine the association between IR and cognitive performance and clinical course of depression in patients with mood disorders.

  • Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement in Heart Failure Clinic

    This is a randomized study evaluating the effect of routinely collecting a standardized questionnaire of heart failure health status during heart failure clinic visits. Participants will be randomized to early or delayed implementation of a validated health-related quality of life survey (the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire). Participants randomized to early implementation will be given this 12-question survey at each heart failure clinic visit at the beginning of the study; their heart failure clinician will have access to survey results but will continue to manage participants based on standard treatment practice. Patients randomized to delayed implementation will start receiving the survey at each clinic visit one year later. By comparing the health status and treatment rates between early and delayed implementation, this study will determine the impact of standardized health status assessment on patient outcomes and clinician decision-making.

  • Lung-MAP: A Master Screening Protocol for Previously-Treated Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

    This screening and multi-sub-study randomized phase II/III trial will establish a method for genomic screening of similar large cancer populations followed by assigning and accruing simultaneously to a multi-sub-study hybrid Master Protocol (Lung-MAP). The type of cancer trait (biomarker) will determine to which sub-study, within this protocol, a participant will be assigned to compare new targeted cancer therapy, designed to block the growth and spread of cancer, or combinations to standard of care therapy with the ultimate goal of being able to approve new targeted therapies in this setting. In addition, the protocol includes non-match sub-studies which will include all screened patients not eligible for any of the biomarker-driven sub-studies.
