  • A Study of Niraparib in Patients With Ovarian Cancer Who Have Received Three or Four Previous Chemotherapy Regimens

This is a Phase 2, open-label, single arm study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of niraparib in ovarian cancer patients who have received three or four previous chemotherapy regimens. Niraparib is an orally active PARP inhibitor. Niraparib will be administered once daily continuously during a 28-day cycle. Health-related quality of life will be measured by Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG). Safety and tolerability will be assessed by clinical review of adverse events (AEs), physical examinations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), RECIST tumor assessments and safety laboratory values.

  • Biodistribution&Pharmacokinetic of Position Emission Tomography(PET) Radiopharmaceutical 18F C SNAT4

    Primary Objectives

    - Determine the biodistribution of [18F]-C-SNAT4 in 5 healthy volunteers. Secondary Objectives

    - Determine the dosimetry of [18F]-C-SNAT4 PET in healthy volunteers and patients with lung cancer.

    - Determine the acute toxicity of [18F]-C-SNAT4 PET in healthy volunteers and patients with lung cancer.

    - Determine whether uptake in [18F]-C-SNAT4 PET imaging is significantly different in tumor and corresponding contralateral noncancer tissue in patients with lung cancer (tested by Wilcoxon test) before the therapy.

    - Determine/verify the safety profile of the [18F]-C-SNAT4 radiotracer, as an imaging agent in patients with lung cancer.

    - Determine the time of maximal [18F]-C-SNAT4 radiotracer uptake post injection.

  • A Study to Assess the Safety, Tolerability, and Effect on Disease Progression of BIIB105 in Participants With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Participants With the ALS Ataxin-2 (ATXN2) Genetic Mutation

The ALSpire Study is a clinical trial evaluating the investigational drug BIIB105 in adults living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The ALSpire Study consists of two parts:

    - Part 1: 6-month placebo-controlled study. During Part 1, participants are randomly assigned to receive either BIIB105 or placebo in a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio (depending on the participant's assigned Cohort).

    - Part 2: up to 3-year long-term open-label extension. During Part 2, all participants receive BIIB105.

The objectives of the study are to evaluate:

    - The safety and tolerability of BIIB105 in people with ALS

    - What the body does to BIIB105 (also called "pharmacokinetics")

    - What BIIB105 does to the body (also called "pharmacodynamics")

    - Whether BIIB105 can slow the worsening of clinical function

  • Adiponectin Polymorphisms, Insulin Resistance, and Pharmacokinetics in Obesity

The primary objective of this study is to determine the influence of insulin resistance on drug metabolism and response in obese subjects. The investigators hypothesize that expression of adiponectin (a hormone secreted by fat tissue), and specific variants in the adiponectin gene can predict the insulin resistance and drug response among obese subjects.
