Max Diehn elected to the National Academy of Medicine

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) announced the election of Dr. Max Diehn as a new member for developing and clinically translating novel diagnostic technologies to faciliate precision medicine techniques and for integrating advanced precision medicine into the area of liquid biopsies. Election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service.
Diehn joins Stanford Radiation Oncology’s Drs. Quynh-Thu Le, Sarah S. Donaldson and Amato J. Giaccia as the Department's fourth current member of NAM.
Quynh-Thu Le receives 2021 Alice Ettinger Award

The Association of Women in Radiology (AAWR) announced that Dr. Quynh-Thu Le has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Alice Ettinger Award. The award recognizes lifetime achievement and lasting contributions to AAWR and to the Radiation Oncology/Radiology profession. Alice Ettinger was a highly regarded and prominent radiologist, professor, and female pioneer in her field for whom the award is named. While few Radiation Oncologists are felt to be competitive for this esteemed award, Dr. Iris Gibbs was also named the Alice Ettinger award recipient in 2020. We are fortunate to have terrific female role models who are recognized at the national and international level.
