Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Radiation Physics Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is a two to three year program. The goal of the program is to train potential radiation physicists in academic and clinical research in radiation therapy and radiation dosimetry. The program is funded through a variety of research grants, donations and commercial supports. There are currently ten postdoctoral fellows enrolled in the program.

The primary areas of research include all aspects of the planning, delivery, and verification of 3-D and 4D therapy, and applications of imaging and image analysis in radiation therapy.

Eligibility for application is a Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a closely related advanced science field. Postdoctoral Fellows with a Medical Physics Ph.D. will receive at least two years of training in research and clinical services, and those with other backgrounds will receive an extra one year basic training.
